Professor David Newman is an accomplished and highly experienced Oil & Gas Engineering and Management Consultant having undertaken National and International projects for Oil & Gas Operators, EPIC Contractors and Consultancies in Europe, Middle and Far East, Scandinavia, CIS (Kazakhstan), India, Mexico, Africa, addressing technical, managerial and commercial requirements with respect to the execution of subsea, offshore and onshore projects in Oil, Gas, and Renewables.
David has an extremely keen interest in oil and gas training and education particularly for professional engineers and managers. He has been engaged with training and mentoring industry leaders both at home and overseas within multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments.
David's specific expertise and interests lay within a number of related areas - onshore and subsea pipeline engineering design, construction, installation through to operations and decommissioning, materials and corrosion engineering. In addition, he has been an Asset Integrity Management practitioner in excess of 25 years planning and implementing asset integrity programmes for pipelines, structures, corrosion management, and risk and reliability engineering, in particular those associated with ageing assets and risk management.
David is passionate about delivering interactive training sessions that incorporate case studies and practical applications drawn from his industry experience. His approach helps participants develop problem-solving skills across various oil and gas domains, including facilities design, construction, installation, operations, inspection, maintenance, repair, and decommissioning for onshore, offshore, and subsea environments.
