Arash Goshtasbi is a highly accomplished Chemical Process Engineer and industrial trainer, with over 20 years of multidisciplinary experience across the oil & gas, petrochemical, energy transition, environmental, and academic sectors. Holding a Master’s degree in Chemical Process Engineering, he has built a robust career delivering projects in process design, simulation, optimisation, R&D, as well as professional training across Europe and the Middle East.

Arash has contributed significantly to key areas such as waste-to-fuel technologies, catalyst development, hydrogen production, methanol and DME synthesis, Fischer–Tropsch processes, and CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage). His work with leading firms such as Bechtel, Air Products, and Lurgi GmbH has consistently delivered innovative and high-impact outcomes. He has also delivered training courses on HAZOP study and process safety principles. His deep technical expertise is complemented by strong environmental knowledge, particularly in sustainable energy systems, waste minimisation, Carbon Management and emissions reduction strategies.

His experience spans the full project lifecycle — from conceptual studies and R&D to pilot plant commissioning, detailed engineering, HAZOP facilitation, and industrial operations. Arash is recognised for his ability to translate complex engineering concepts into practical, real-world solutions, making him an expert trainer who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience together with industrial case studies to every session.

Arash is also a patent holder for “Multi-Purpose Micro-Reactor System for Catalyst Testing”, and the author of a book in Process Control in Chemical Engineering.
