About Richmond American University London

Richmond American University London is a unique and pioneering institution, global in outlook and in practice, diverse and cosmopolitan in its cultures.

Richmond is a private-not-for-profit university operating in London since 1972. In 2018 Richmond became the first American university outside the USA to be granted Taught Degree Awarding Powers. The University offers both UK and US degrees by bringing together the best of British and American higher education.

Richmond is the only US university where all degrees are UK awards; and the only UK university where all undergraduate degrees are taught in an accredited US framework.

The university is true to its vision of delivering its mission to educate and inform future generations by providing them with the knowledge and support to think critically, the freedom to challenge assumptions and the skills to innovate and work with others. In March 2025, the university was awarded 5 QS Stars for Programme Strength, Employability, Global Engagement, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in addition to 4 QS Stars recognising excellence across multiple areas in Higher Education.

AAET, as the Centre of Excellence for Executive Training, is based at Richmond University and benefits from its rich heritage, quality and its extensive resources.
